Registered Dietitian (Part-time) Salary $21,028.00 - $25,000.00 Annually Location Youngstown, OH Job Type Professional Administrative Job Number 202400056 Division Academic Affairs Department Master of Public Health Opening Date 03/27/2024 Bargaining Unit Status Excluded from Any Bargaining Unit Salary Grade XF (A4) Full-time Equivalency .50 Summary of Position Serves the operation of BCHHS, Institute of Community Health, Guin Fit Initiative to help implement the Center for Disease Control's Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) program as related to the food and nutrition security, Produce Rx program, and the healthy weight initiative. Position Information Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Supports workplan activities focused on nutrition, physical activity, and family healthy weight programs policy, systems, and environmental changes efforts. Completes needs assessments to implement a food service procurement voucher program. Completes data analysis of healthy eating and beverage guidelines and fruits/vegetables (FV) incentives and Produce Rx activities. Participates in and leads community engagement meetings. Assists in the equity assessments to identify gaps based on Health Equity in all policies guidelines. Supports professional development efforts focused on demonstration of policy, system, and environmental changes activities such as fruit and vegetable voucher incentive and produce prescription programs. Contributes to the development of success stories focused on fruits/vegetables (FV) incentives, Produce Rx activities, Food Service Guidelines and Healthy Food Procurement. Delegates and supervises dietetics student work activities in the community setting. Interacts with Stakeholders through relationship -building, referral, and interviews. Provides reports and executive summaries regarding various community nutrition policy, systems, and environmental change efforts. Communicates regularly with project team and community partners. Other Functions and Responsibilities: Performs other related duties as assigned. Equipment Operated: Computer and all other standard office equipment. Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. Some evenings and weekend hours may be necessary. Maximum of 20 hours a week. Supervision Exercised: May exercise supervision over student employees. Reports to: Professor, Health Professions Qualifications and Competencies Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Registered Dietitian, licensed in the State of Ohio. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: University policies and procedures; office practices and procedures; department/division goals and objectives; department/division policies and procedures; workplace safety practices and procedures; English grammar and spelling; records management; office management; project management. Skill in: Use of office equipment; typing, data entry; computer operation; use of computer software and other programs applicable to the assigned department/division. Ability to: create and complete excel spreadsheets; use online meeting platforms such as Webex or Zoom; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; determine material and equipment needs; compile and prepare reports; use proper research methods to gather data; understand a variety of written and/or verbal communications; maintain records according to established procedures; effectively interact with personnel and public to answer routine questions; train or instruct others; move quickly and effectively from one tasks to another; work independently and in a team environment; develop and maintain effective working relationships.
