Charles Schwab Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Senior in Westlake, Texas

Duties : Provide development coding standards and policies. Ensure development efforts follow provided requirements by business teams. Write and review technical specifications based on technical requirements and functional specifications. Collaborate with architecture and development staff to achieve approval and consensus of solution design presented in response to technical specifications written by analysts and other developers. Contribute to development and publication of release documentation and the development of code to facilitate the migration and conversion of data. Assist with select quality assurance tasks, including test data preparation, defect root cause analysis, and production support. Work within multiple software development lifecycle (SDLC) models including Waterfall and Agile. Provides development coding standards and policies, and ensure development efforts follow provided requirements by business teams. Attends daily scrum, planning, and integration meetings in preparation for future priorities. Plan for and anticipate developer needs and work with management and neighboring teams to resolve.

Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $169,950 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation.

Experience must include the following: Design and Develop micro services using JAVA/J2EE technologies and Spring Boot framework, with Spring Security OAuth2 for application security and following Spring REST, and Spring Data functionality/architecture; Develop stream applications using Spring Cloud Dataflow, Spring Integration framework and Spring AMQP messaging framework for batch/long running processes; Design and Develop backend process using NoSql database (Mongo); Develop code using SOLID principles and design GoF patterns in micro services and cloud native architecture implementation; Develop real-time event based processing and messaging using RabbitMQ and Kafka; Develop and adapt to agile development methodologies including SCRUM, RAD, and Extreme Programming; and Develop CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery using JENKINS/Bamboo with Unit Test coverage, Linting, and Sonarqube.
