Atlantic Diving Supply, Inc. Event Coordinator in Virginia Beach, Virginia

The ADS Events Team is a high producing team who organize and participate in approx. 100 events a year to support ADS's sales teams to connect with their suppliers and customers. With various levels of events, the team focuses on Warrior Expo East and West, multiple Warfighter Expo's and Range Day's, Partner Supplier Summit, and third-party expo's and tradeshows of all sizes. The Events team helps drive marketing and sales initiatives to grow the business, all while producing the highest quality experience for our customers, suppliers, and internal team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate preparation and logistics of ADS Events with other event team members

Maintain up-to-date, internally visible corporate tradeshow calendar

Coordinate and support ADS's tradeshow program

Pre-Show Planning

Invitations and Targeted Marketing Campaigns

Booth Reservations, Contracts, Shipping, and Other Paperwork

Booth/Pop-Up Display/Tablecloth Inventory and Maintenance

Print and Promotional Collateral Inventory/Reorders (Assist as needed)

Inbound/Outbound Shipment Logistics

Attend and support select tradeshows with the following additional duties as needed:

Registration/Lead Management

Set-up/Tear-Down

Special Event Coordination

Serve as on-site primary Event Team contact

Assist with booking/coordinating hotel room blocks for shows as needed

Assist Senior Marketing Managers in developing and implementing campaigns as needed

Manage tradeshow lead collection, management, and reporting

Identify and implement initiatives to improve ADS tradeshow program.

Manage corporate and department tradeshow budget

Other projects and support as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business or Hospitality

Minimum 4-5 year of experience planning, producing and executing events, corporate meetings, special events, and expos and trade shows

Has basic or good knowledge of best practices and how own area of expertise integrates with others.

Plans and prioritizes work using resources in the best possible way to complete tasks on time and with high quality.

Solves problems using existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary. Experience with Salesforce and Cvent preferred, but not obligatory

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for event setup and breakdown

Flexibility in work schedule and ability to travel (sometimes with limited notice) up to 40% -- including occasional work/travel on weekends.

Demonstrated organizational skills and an ability to multi-task candidates will be asked to give detailed examples of this skill and their experience exhibiting it

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential writing sample will be requested

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Experience marketing to government organizations and agencies

Experience utilizing Salesforce and Cvent (or other CRM and Event Management systems)

Ability to prioritize conflicting requests and meet tight deadlines

Must be able to adapt to ever-changing circumstances

Must be able to think creatively

Strong, friendly interpersonal skills

Some experience and understanding of current social media tools including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube
