Atlantic Diving Supply, Inc. Contract Manager in Virginia Beach, Virginia

This job description applies to Contract Managers for all ADS procurement vehicles, including but not limited to:

  • TLS SOE Contract Manager
  • TLS-FES Contract Manager
  • GSA Contract Manager
  • HEPP Contract Manager
  • FEDMALL Contract Manager

Responsibilities

  • Establish strong working relationships with relevant contracting officers and contract specialists
  • Stay current with contract specifications and commercial procurement changes.
  • Be the in house expert on the scope of items allowed through assigned contract and current regulations on proving prices fair and reasonable.
  • Submit and receive all bids and the approvals that accompany them
    • As appropriate, maintain tracking database of bids and all lead times associated with responses to bids
  • Maintain database of all bids won and lost with item and pricing information.
  • TLS Only: Assist with the submission and tracking of POPS/ NSN bids, awards, and pricing of NSN items.
  • Coordinate with accounting to resolve any payment or billing issues and assist with delinquent reports
  • Respond to and submit all RFQ requests by the required deadline.
  • Manage the addition and upload of part numbers, descriptions, prices, pictures and options
  • Day-to-day contract administration duties such as facilitating and negotiating modifications (for GSA, FEDMALL: updating pricelists, adding vendors, removing discontinued items, initiating uploads to GSA Advantage, FEDMALL)
  • Lead the identification and resolution of any actual or potential contract and/or risk issues
  • Answer inquiries for expedited shipping, order status, tracking, post order requirements
  • Assist with Berry Amendment item review
  • Manage all reports and prepare contract briefs for corporate management team
  • Assist in training new sales personnel

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2+ years experience working with Government contracts
  • 2+ years experience in Microsoft Office environment: Outlook, Excel and Word
  • 1 year of experience with assigned contract highly preferred
  • Security clearance is not required at this time but candidate must be able to obtain clearance if required later.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for negotiating with DSCP
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of the FAR, DFAR and government contracting methods and terminology highly desired.
