Job Description SummaryManages the day-to-day driveline manufacturing operations on second shift. Defines, monitors, and is held responsible for overall second shift operations performance. Implements safety, production, cost, and quality-control mechanisms. Provides oversight on manufacturing operations, ensuring that schedules and performance requirements are met and system resources are used effectively. Supports staffing, development, and performance management programs for second-shift operations. Coordinates strategies, communications, and joint initiatives between multiple production shifts and cross-functional support departments. Ensures continuous improvement activities are in place to improve safety culture, first-time quality, overall equipment effectiveness, and scrap results. Leads by example through exemplary demonstration of safety behaviors, standardized work compliance, and effective communication.

Job Description

Manages product and operations associate outcomes by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, mentor, and counseling; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; carrying out policies and procedures.

Achieves product and operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and health standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; identifying, developing, and implementing system improvements.

Contributes to product and operations management and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.

Determines operational priorities by reviewing customer orders and requirements; analyzing equipment, materials, and associate availability; coordinating schedules with material planning; issuing processing plans and schedules.

Resolves processing scheduling problems by analyzing reports; reviewing equipment, materials, and associate availability; conferring with processing management; developing solutions.

Prepares processing planning information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

Drives production operations to utilize PBA - production build attainment - to build the correct quantity of each part number.

All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in: Manufacturing, assembly, machining, driveline engineering.

Experience working in program/project management.

Experience working in lean manufacturing systems.

Availability to work 2nd shift.
