Air National Guard Units SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in Syracuse, New York

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1956000 and is part of the 174TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Responsibilities This position is to direct the development, coordination, and implementation of procedural changes; to direct the performance of management analysis and compliance for the activities under the jurisdiction of the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander; direct the squadron readiness and training programs, and to direct resource management and systems management in support of unit mission. Position is responsible for the management, direction, and supervision of employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: ENLISTED GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 - 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Demonstrated ability researching documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements. Knowledge of stock levels, inventory, shipping, receiving, requisitioning and requirements of supplies and equipment. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply management, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Demonstrated experience with cost estimates, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities. GS-11 - 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Education EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: None for this position.
