JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20803 Position Title: Academic Coordinator, Upward Bound Program TTC Title and Code: Pre-College Services Coordinator (OE015) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Director, Upward Bonus Program Position Summary: The Academic Coordinator is responsible for providing direct services for the low-income, first-generation-to-go-to-college high school participants as well as assisting the Upward Bound Director in planning, coordinating, and implementing academic, cultural, and social activities during both the academic year and six-week summer session. Demonstrated experience with planning events or group activities, promotion, and implementation. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with target school contacts and university colleagues. Ability to effectively and efficiently work in a team capacity Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Strong oral presentation and written communication skills Must have a valid drivers license and be available for evening and weekend work especially during the six-week summer session. Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in education, counseling, or related field Demonstrated experience working with low-income, first-generation students and their families.
