NJ Employer Farmworker in Sewell, New Jersey

Anticipated period of employment: 03/15/2024 to 01/15/2025.

A minimum of three months experience is required pruning grapevines; shoot positioning grapevines; and planting/transplanting grapevines.

Employees must be able to work indoors and outdoors in dusty and dirty conditions, in extremes of heat, cold and humidity, and in inclement weather. Must be able to crouch, bend, and sit on the ground for extended periods of time, reach, lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. Must be able to listen, understand, and follow simple instructions from the field and green house operations leader(s) and supervisor(s). Must be able to work in fields where briers, poison ivy, multiple insects and small varmint such as mice and ground hogs, will be encountered. Due to the technical nature of pruning and training vines, workers will be expected to perform these tasks without injury or damage to vines or fruit. Must be able to work in the varying temperatures of the greenhouse facilities; ranging from 36.F in the storage facility, up to 105.F in the greenhouse. Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office.
