This position is responsible to safely operate tractor-trailer to deliver & unload cement powder to ready mix plants. Minimum Qualifications: As a successful Cement Transport driver you will have: - A valid CDL Class A or B license with acceptable driving record - Preference given for CMV experience - Ability to pass a Department of transportation physical and maintain CDL - Ability to pass a Department of Transportation drug/alcohol screen and remain substance free - Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays. - Display a professional and courteous attitude and communication skills towards all team members and customers - Don't meet the license requirements? Duties & Responsiblities 1.Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained. 2.Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms 3.Perform daily housekeeping on truck 4.Safely operate and maintain truck 5.Properly load, secure & unload material 6.Accurately complete load tickets where applicable 7.Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others. 8.Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors. 9.Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance. 10.Performs other duties as assigned.
