In this position...
The Yield Management (YM) team supports all Ford Blue and Model e product lines and tackles the 5 highest priority profitability projects each quarter. The team works in “Value Sprints” with a dedicated team focused against a specific mandate for a dedicated period of time. The team applies a data-driven approach and leverages advanced analytics to derive insights and deliver tangible recommendations to create value for Ford. Yield Management’s project portfolio aims to deliver a balance of:
Near term vehicle line specific profit improvement or risk mitigation actions
New or expanded enterprise capabilities
Long term portfolio optimizations
This Yield Management position operates cross-functionally across Marketing & Sales, Brand, Product Marketing, General Management, GDI&A, Finance, & Ford Credit.
SOUTHEAST MI RESIDENTS: Please note, this job is posted as remote unless the selected candidate lives within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI.
For fully remote candidates, we anticipate travel to be expected one week every 4-6 weeks to our Dearborn, MI offices (frequency subject to change)
What you'll do...
This role is at the intersection of strategy, operations, and analytics and is tasked with creating change and delivering new capabilities as we deliver the Ford+ plan. The team is highly collaborative and fast-paced, and interacts directly with leaders and teams across the Marketing & Sales function. This is a high-exposure role with regular contact with NA leadership across Ford Blue and Model e.
The Yield Management group includes several sprint leaders and team members who are deployed to work on specific problems, typically for 4-8 weeks. When leading a sprint, the Sprint Lead is responsible for:
Establishing the sprint mandate and problem statement with key stakeholders
Owning the overall recommendation to the GM teams, being the key expert across the different components of the analysis
Structuring the workstreams for the team, and leading analysis and development of insights and implications of decisions
Managing the project infrastructure (project plans, team engagement model, delivery of project against timeline)
Managing value sprint team in delivery of the recommendation, coaching, and providing feedback to support continued development
In addition, the Sprint Lead is responsible for contributing to ongoing Yield Management objectives:
Engaging with key business leaders and business functions to identify well-fit sprint topics
Managing and prioritizing the sprint portfolio and backlog
Tracking booked impact of sprints vs. overall objective
Supporting development of advanced analytics tools and providing specific use cases
Implementing Yield Management best practices and tools into the core operations of the business
Developing technical and leadership skills of analysts on the team

You'll have...
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Leader preferably for a top-tier consulting firm.
3+ years of Marketing & Sales, including exposure to some combination of brand marketing, field ops, sales, variable marketing, pricing, allocation, production, or supply chain or similar.
Even better, you may have...
MBA or Master's degree
Experience working as a Project Manager, Project Leader or similar for a top -tierconsulting firm.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to distill complex topics into simple terms, influence decision-making, and create clarity
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
Prior experience in Finance, Marketing & Sales, Data Analytics, Strategy or relevant field
Experience managing people & teams, with consistent track record of achieving results through others
Proven ability and interest to learn new concepts and technologies.
Experience with Alteryx, Qlik, and/or GCP
