Description

Robert Half is looking for a FP& A Manager/ Finance Manager to join our client! The FP& A Manager must have deep analytical capabilities, strong verbal and writing skills, and the ability to multitask and work under multiple tight deadlines at once. This position requires prior manufacturing experience, and 10+ years of product costing and plant finance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inform strategic and day-to-day decisions by analyzing financials

  • Perform financial analysis and valuation related to mergers and acquisitions

  • Contribute to financial deliverables for the executive team

  • Draw up operating budget and forecasts by estimating the costs and benefits of operating plans during the annual budget development cycle

  • Provide support for regulatory filings

  • Prepare financial models and data mining tools for variance analysis

  • Direct and lead financial analysis and developing short- and long-term financial forecasts

  • Examine fiscal and budget assumptions in the development of operating plans

  • Provide key financial analysis to enable both day-to-day and strategic decisions

  • Manage staff by recruiting, selecting, training, evaluating, and retaining employees

  • Participate in and contribute to cross-functional development teams to address strategic issues

  • Oversee and manage financial planning team operations

  • Contribute to financial analysis support for forecasting and corporate budgeting processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required

-Prior manufacturing at the plant level is required ( preferably from Pharma or Chemical)

-10 years of product costing

  • Strong business acumen required

  • 8+ years of experience in FP& A required

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are a plus

  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Capable of analyzing complex business problems, proposing effective solutions and understanding and applying business vision and direction

  • 2+ years of FP& A supervisory/leadership experience

  • Superb qualitative and quantitative skills

  • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel, Access, financial Modeling and other accounting packages

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships
