Description

In this role you will collaborate with engineering, service, and other subject matter experts to create technical documentation (operator’s manuals, maintenance manuals, field kit installation instructions). We’re looking for individuals who can think critically, are detail-oriented, imaginative, and that work well collaboratively.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with engineering to develop machine-specific content for operator’s manuals, maintenance manuals, and/or field kit installation instructions using clear and concise language.

• Create content-related illustrations using 2D and 3D graphical programs, digital photographs, and drawings or diagrams from solid models.

• Submit draft(s) and collaborate with reviewers (engineering, service, product safety/legal, technical editor) to create a final copy for publishing.

What We’re Looking For

• Two or four-year degree in a technical field such as industrial design, graphic design, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• Ability to use MS Office required.

• Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Illustrator and Photoshop or similar software required.

• Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Design) software required.

• Mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical experience preferred.

Adobe FrameMaker, AutoCAD, Autocad Electrical, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, 2D Illustration, 3D Illustration, Graphic Design, Operating Manuals, Maintenance Manuals

• Must have experience with at least ONE of the following: Adobe FrameMaker OR Adobe Illustrator OR Photoshop

• Computer-Aided Design (CAD) – REQUIRED

• AutoCAD – REQUIRED

• Mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical experience

• Degree or experience in industrial design, graphic design, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• Experience with 2D and 3D graphical programs, digital photographs, and drawings or diagrams from solid models. Here are some 2D and 3D graphics programs commonly used in manufacturing:

• Fusion 360

• Autodesk Maya

• Autodesk 3ds Max

• Technical Writing experience creating:

• Operating Manuals Ideal

• Maintenance manuals

• Field kit installation

Nice to haves:

• SolidWorks Ideal but not required
