Operations Review Specialist

What you will do :

The Operations Review Specialist will provide administrative oversight, development, and implementation of licensing activities for Community-Based Care (CBC) Agencies licenses for initial approval or relicensure.

How you will make an impact :

This position is responsible for the following:

Oversight of Child Caring and Child Placing agencies.

This includes, but is not limited to:

a. Review and process all applications for the SER.

b. Fee allocations

c. Update database

d. Preparing and reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence related to the licensing of providers within required timeframe

e. Conduct site visits to evaluate compliance with Laws and Rules

f. Prepare and disseminate technical site visit reports of performance to agencies

g. Review corrective actions submitted by providers

  • Responsible for maintaining and reporting status of licenses for the SER. This includes assessing fees and sanctions, tracking and reporting fee revenue and follow up with Agencies.

  • Investigate consumer complaints, report findings and monitor corrective action.

  • Conduct trainings and provide technical assistance to the Community

  • Provide training and technical assistance to the Southeast Region licensing team.

  • Develop outcome measures and management tools for data collection and program evaluation. Responsible for day-to-day monitoring, evaluation, and tracking of performance outcomes in coordination with program staff to ensure compliance with performance measures. Develops special or ad hoc reports to assist the program in making management decisions. Identify any provider performance shortcomings and makes recommendations for corrective action.

  • Conducts contract monitoring activities, manage contract files, and reconciliation process, and comply with contract audits according to departmental policies and the CF Operating Procedures and any applicable CDAs.

  • Provides guidance, technical assistance, and support for all procurement and contract related activities for the Office of Licensure. Includes guidance, technical assistance, and support to contracted providers.

  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from a college or university and three years experience working knowledge of the Child Welfare and Child Protection systems and knowledge related to the impact of child protections conditions on parenting capacity.

  • A master's degree from a college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.

  • Must have aFlorida license

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.

  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.

  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.

  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.

  • Ability to conduct fact-finding research.

  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.

  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

  • Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours/wk.)

    Requirements:

  • Travel is required throughout the region.

  • Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.
