We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our clients! We serve Oceana, Kent, Mason, Newaygo, Lake, Ottawa and Muskegon Counties.

Our clients include, but are not limited to;

  • Those who are able to be discharged from hospital or nursing home but need additional care
  • Those who are terminally ill and want to live their final days with dignity, surrounded by their loved ones in the comfort of their own home
  • Those who have short term health needs
  • Those who need assistance, due to age or disability, to remain at home
  • Those with a chronic condition as diabetes or COPD
  • Those who are bedridden
  • Younger clients with physical disabilities
  • Elderly adults who need medical care related to recent injuries
  • Elderly adults who are prone to fall

Caregiver duties and responsibilities

  • Assists client with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), personal care and hygiene (baths, dressing, elimination), exercises, ambulation, and other activities a-like
  • Participates in appropriate activities and hobbies for social and sensory stimulation
  • Light housekeeping (cooking, cleaning, shopping)
  • Provide companionship by conversing, listening and reading
  • Accompanies clients on walks, trips to the bank/doctor's office, etc.
  • Takes and records accurate clients vital signs when advised
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Report any unusual incidents
  • Demonstrate empathy, compassion, problem-solving skills, adaptability and effective communication skills
  • Provides emotional support to client and family and promotes a sense of well-being
  • Reminds client to take self-administered medications
  • Use any and all equipment and supplies safely and properly
  • Follow the Home Health Plan
  • Maintaining a safe home environment for client
  • Consent to background check
  • Personally in good physical and mental health
  • Ability to life/move up to 50 lbs
  • Requires use of own vehicle for transportation

Education, Training, and Experience

  • High-school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • Training in the topics related to human development and interpersonal relationships including but not limited to; shopping, food storage, use of equipment and supplies, planning and organizing of household tasks and principles of cleanliness and safety
  • Preferred 1 year of experience of in home care, nursing, and/or in hospital care
