Universal Health Services Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN in NORTH CHARLESTON, South Carolina

Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is now seeking to fill Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/ Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) PRN positions .

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) PRN will provide care for patients with a variety of behavioral health disorders whose ages range from adolescent through geriatric. The LPN/LVN is an integral part of the interdisciplinary treatment team working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. The LPN/LVN implements therapeutic interventions developed by the treatment team and tracks patient progress towards treatment plan goals.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides direct care to patients on assigned unit.

  • Administers and documents prescribed medications and treatments.

  • Establishes therapeutic rapport with the patient, provides support and utilizes approved crisis intervention techniques.

    Available Schedules

    PRN shifts

    Day: 7:00am to 7:30pm

    Night: 7:00pm to 7:30am

    Qualifications

    Education

    Graduate of an accredited college of nursing.

    Experience

    Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience preferred, but not required. New Graduates accepted.

    Age-Specific Competencies

    Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric

    Licensure/Certification

    Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of South Carolina. New Graduates Accepted

    CPR/CPI Certification Required – provided upon hire
