Rockford Center is searching for qualified, and experienced Admissions Assessment Counselors in our Admissions Department.

PRN/Per Diem opportunities available.

Rockford Center is a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing easy access to a full complement of inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children and adolescents (https://www.rockfordcenter.com/child-4-12-and-adolescent-13-17-services/) , adults (https://www.rockfordcenter.com/adult-services-18-65/) , and older adults (https://www.rockfordcenter.com/older-adult-services-65/) . Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in DE, offers an experienced and tenured senior management team, and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland.

In this rewarding roll you will assess and evaluate the needs of individuals in crisis and appropriately triage based on information gathered to the most appropriate service to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Answer incoming calls and inquiries from individuals and referral sources seeking treatment.

  • Monitor electronic referral source system

  • Assist in the initial triage of individuals presenting for services

  • Facilitate the admission process, including completing admission paperwork, data entry, verification of insurance, and completion of prior authorizations of services

  • Understand the importance of “first impressions” and strive for the best when welcoming clients, families and guests to the facility

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Masters in Psychology, Human Services.

    Proficiency in operation of computer programs

    Ability to handle crisis calls is essential.
