Position: Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance

Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor

Duties:

• Serves as a lead mechanic for the SNF by performing Maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations or vehicle servicing.

• Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble.

• Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.

• Adjusts functional parts of the mechanical devices as necessary.

• Cleans and lubricates parts.

• Orders replacement parts.

• Inspects completed repairs.

• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

• Requisitions new parts and equipment.

• Able to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.

• Responsible for all PM entries in the Maintenance Tracking System including but not limited to Critical PM and Life Safety Compliance.

• Responsible for maintaining Grounds, Sidewalks and Roads at the Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with the inventory and supplies for the Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Maintains a neat and clean work environment.

• Assist with maintenance, grounds and snow removal at the Health Care Center as needed.

• Must be available to work some weekends on a rotating basis.

• Performs any other duties assigned by the Director of Building Services.
