Job Title:Loader Operator - Must be Bilingual Spanish-English

Job Description

Responsible for safely operating the companys forklifts and yard trucks (when applicable). Will assist the Shipping and Receiving team in achieving an efficient and damage-free cross-docking process & car staging for our customers. This position reports directly to the Operations Supervisor and Office Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Complete the safe unloading and loading of cars, meeting customer specified loading patters, without damage to equipment, product, or the working areas.
• Open, tie, close trailer/container doors
• Accurately match numbers & letters, confirming the correct containers are being loaded/unloaded. Check bills of lading or required documentation to ensure cars, products or goods are correct.
• Perform documented checks on product including visual inspection of cars, products or goods.
• Inspect equipment being operated daily forklift and/or jockey truck for safe function and proper maintenance.
• Be available to respond to scheduled and unscheduled business needs outside of normal business hours.
• Keep the yard and loading area clean, safe, and organized, ensuring it meets OSHA requirements.
• Take initiative, ownership, and responsibility of the work duties. Must look to continually develop and improve procedures, processes, and efficiencies.
• Carry out other related duties as needed.
