Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in a specialty tax firm. This role entails providing bookkeeping services for high net worth clients and supporting general office duties. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a background in general bookkeeping who is interested in expanding their skills into the tax industry.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain financial records and manage accounts payable and receivable

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial documents and reports

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook, to organize, analyze, and present financial data

• Perform billing functions, including issuing invoices, following up on overdue accounts, and managing customer inquiries related to billing

• Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and systems, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations

• Support general office duties, including administrative tasks and customer service, to ensure smooth operations

• Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks

• Exhibit discretion with sensitive information, maintaining the confidentiality of clients' financial information at all times

• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

• Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Requirements • Demonstrable proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services

• Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

• Demonstrable understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in Billing Functions.
