Robert Half is actively seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our clients team.. This role is an individual contributor and only needs 2+ years of experience. Our client is a well respected manufacturing firm in the Minneapolis area. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, analyzing and concluding new accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the FASB and SEC. The position is key for evaluating transactions, collaborating effectively with partners to implement systems, business controls and processes/procedures to achieve objectives. Key duties include preparing financial reports, reviewing and analyzing financial information, maintaining accounting data and driving the development of financial system improvements. The Accounting Manager will also support external and internal auditors during quarterly reviews and audits. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all SEC, and GAAP. They would identify and implement system, process and cost improvements. This position requires effective multi-tasking and a keen ability to prioritize assignments ensuring timely completion. Qualifications include an active CPA license or the intention of getting it, and 2+ years of experience in the accounting field. A strong understanding of GAAP is necessary and experience in SEC reporting is required. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a proven record in driving process improvements.

Knowledge and skills required include strong expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Oracle and Workiva experience is preferred. Strong communication skills and analytical abilities are highly desirable. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to work on their own initiative, interacting effectively with all levels of leadership. Requirements

4-year degree in Accounting

CPA is required or must be getting it

Big 4 CPA firm or Large Regional CPA firm experience

2+ years of experience minimim

SEC reporting experience is required
