Expand your administrative experience and become a Legal Office Administrator 1 for the Office of Chief Counsel! The Department of Corrections (DOC) is looking for an organized and analytical person to provide management-level, administrative support to our office. If you are ready to start your legal support career with the DOC, then this is the perfect position for you!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Legal Office Administrator 1, you will assist office staff with the management, assignment, and tracking of litigation, and management of the office environment. You will be serving in two important capacities within the office. As an archives records coordinator, you will develop and implement procedures to manage archived records, work with attorneys to determine which case records need to be retained or destroyed, and maintain supplies and the receipt of documents. As the litigation hold coordinator, you will develop and implement procedures to manage litigation hold memos, work with a team to develop protocols for ensuring compliance with litigation hold memos, and notify the appropriate parties when a litigation hold memo is no longer effective. You will also provide general administrative support to the office.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of varied office management or staff work within a public or private legal office.

Additional Requirements: You must be proficient in Microsoft Word. You must have experience handling and maintaining confidential information. You must have good interpersonal skills, including active listening, communication, collaboration and problem-solving. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro. Experience answering phones and processing mail.
