The Community Action Program Corp. of Wash.-Morgan Director of Human Resources in Marietta, Ohio

Washington-Morgan Counties Community Action is seeking a knowledgeable, motivated and well organized, individual with initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills to oversee the human Resources operation for the Agency.  The ideal candidate must have a strong background in HR management within a Not-for -Profit. The individual will be responsible to develop policies, direct and coordinate human resources activities such as employment, compensation, employee relations, training and benefit administration and employee services by performing the following duties personally and through agency management staff. -Keeps abreast of wage practices and market trends as well as monitors internal equity issues.  Works with Executive Director with regards to wage increase proposals and communicating same. -Maintains all employee and application files, Monitors turnover. -Creates and revises job descriptions as needed, assuring compliance with appropriate legislation, such as American with Disability Act. Maintains master file of all job descriptions.  Composes and places job advertisements and posting, utilizing different venues and sources, as needed. -Reviews resumes/applications, schedules and conducts preliminary interviews, schedules second interviews for management and check references.  Provides appropriate training for management on interviewing techniques and practices assuming compliance with applicable legislation. -Captures and maintains appropriate data in order to complete annual reports. Initiates and monitors employee evaluation process ensuring timely completion.  Keeps abreast of all employee related legislation trends and court cases.  Prepares and conducts trainings for all management staff, as needed. Conducts annual safety training for all staff. -In cooperative with Executive Director, review, revises and composes personnel policies and procedures as needed. Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor's degree is required, preferable in Human Resources or related field.  Applicant must have 3-5 years of Human Resources generalist experience. Starting pay: $58,000 annually Benefits: Health, life, long term disability, 401-K retirement plan, accrued sick leave and vacation and holiday pay. Additional Qualifications:  Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.  Must be willing to travel locally and periodically attend out of town training, required overnight stays, when necessary.
