QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in information technology, graphic communications, health care or marketing highly preferred.
Prior experience with students with special needs preferred.
Physical requirements: i. Stand for extended periods of time ii. Kneeling, bending, and walking iii. Lift up to 30 pounds iv. Driving may be necessary for this position which would require a valid driver's license.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES:
A paraprofessional is a person who assists the professional educator in the initiation, participation and culmination of learning activities that occur in the teaching/learning experience. The primary function of the paraprofessional is to assist students with special needs in the successful completion of the technical program they are enrolled in. The paraprofessional can be assigned work within any of the following programs: Computer Networking and Information Technology, Graphic Communications, Health Occupations, and Marketing.
