Pet Paradise Resort Regional Veterinary Services Manager NE FLA in Jacksonville, Florida

TheRegional Veterinary Services Managerprovides leadership, direction, mentorship and management for veterinary clinics to maximize the medical and financial results as well as the productivity of the veterinary medical teams. TheRegional Veterinary Services Managerpartners with the Regional Medical Directors and the Veterinary Medical Director of Surgical and Imaging Centers to ensure the locations are fully staffed and providing the highest quality veterinary care and client service while maximizing profitability. TheRegional Veterinary Services Managerensures excellent communication with the paraprofessionals, clients, veterinary and resort managers, HQ and alignment with the resorts.

  • Maintaincommunicationwithall Veterinary Managers and Veterinarians on aregularbasis
  • Analyze Clinic performance and provide feedback, guidance, training and encouragement to provide positive results
  • Assistinthedevelopingofnewoperationsproceduresandpolicies
  • Assisttrainingdepartmentwithnew Clinics andongoingtraining
  • Conductandattendregionalmeetingsforassignedregions
  • Lead veterinary managers, technicians and assistants to provide the highest quality care and service to pets and clients
  • Maximize efficiency, productivity and profitability while ensuring all decisions are made with compassion as our priority
  • Manage the profitability and finances of the clinics to maximize growth and improvement
  • Work with the Veterinarians and HR to select, recruit, develop and mentor teams to realize their full professional potential and deliver outstanding, high quality medical care, client service and business results
  • Partner with the Veterinary Managers to provide appropriate staff and manage schedules while controlling COGS and labor
  • Approve paid and unpaid time off for continuing education, vacation, etc. to support the needs of the paraprofessionals and the clinics
  • Demonstrate strong communication and provide positive, professional relationships with the resorts, team members, clients, veterinary and resort managers, regional managers and headquarters
  • Ensure compliance with all clinic protocols, policies and procedures and with all local, state and federal laws
  • Analyzes and interprets operational reports and identifies areas for improvement
  • Collaborates with the hospital leadership to create an overall strategy and obtains buy-in and alignment with teams
  • People management: Creates action plans, sets and manages goals, delegates tasks, and tracks performance
  • Conduct Veterinary Manager performance reviews.
  • Make recommendations for team training and development
  • Mediate issues/conflicts; coaches and provides feedback to the teams
  • Spearhead client relations: Develops, champions, and oversees client acquisition and retention initiatives. Directs and oversees tactics for increasing new client visits.Effectively assesses the quality of service and provides direction for enhancing quality
  • Continuously build the Pet Paradise brand in connection with all medical and non-medical standards

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to be confident around pets
  • Client needs and work volume may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. This position often requires working weekends and evenings
  • The noise level in the work environment is high
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables
  • Requires ambulatory skills sufficient to perform duties while at wellness clinic
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crou h, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, or move) up to 50 pounds
