JOB SUMMARY

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Leads the efforts to expand the company use of technology to enable and achieve the organization’s goals and objectives. Provides strategic view and leads the design, development, and implementation of commerce domain architectures, roadmaps, and best practices that produces business outcomes. Develops and communicates reference architecture documents and product standards and, develops and maintains enterprise technical roadmaps. Evaluates new vendor products and services with an eye for innovation. May lead Enterprise Architecture across multiple domains.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in solutions, development, and technical architecture with a minimum of 5 years at a Senior Management level

  • Five year’s recent experience in developing and leveraging current and emerging Cloud technologies across IT platforms.

  • Experience working across multiple business disciplines and IT

  • Experience establishing and facilitating the evaluation, selection, and introduction of technology and software development strategies across multiple IT Organizations.

  • Experience working in a multi-cloud environment.

  • Experience in modern development practices and methodologies, industry shifts in application architecture, and positive servant-based leadership.

  • Experience in Reservation, revenue management and overall commerce domains.

Preferred:

  • Undergraduate/graduate degree (e.g. Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences)

  • Applications development leadership experience

  • Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives/transformations across enterprise platforms.

  • Proven executive experience in IT development across waterfall and agile environments.

  • Designing and building for performance, scalability & reliability of high traffic customer facing digital platforms

  • Experience leveraging micro-services development patterns and principles.

  • Experience working with Enterprise APIs and working with API management platforms.

  • Proven management experience in strategic planning and budgeting within one or more business groups

  • Experience with and knowledge of global IT outsourcing activities in a managed services environment

  • Experience transforming mainframe-based applications into modern open system technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide and influence appropriate courses of action.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms.

  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

  • Team-oriented, collaborative leadership skills

  • Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and monitoring processes.

  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Senior Director, Domain Enterprise Architect

  • Designs and develops sustainable enterprise software, integrations, and system architectures on multiple Cloud Service Provider platforms for the commerce domain.

  • Consults on and influences engineering best practices in an event driven architecture, leveraging and defining DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, monitoring.

  • Manages day-to day relationships with Technology teams to promote the onboarding of new services that meet or exceed the program/IT expectations.

  • Craft technical artifacts and presentations to communicate architectural design options that help educate product, engineering, and business users and teams.

  • Support product development teams, infra teams around implementation of solutions.

  • Analyzing complex business and software requirements leading to the selection and implementation of appropriate technical public cloud architectural solutions

  • Define the application-level architecture for leveraging cloud-native, open-source, and SaaS solutions in collaboration with Infrastructure, Security, and Network.

  • Analysis of existing solutions alignment to infrastructure standards and providing feedback to both evolve and mature the solution.

  • Champions the development of architecture associates to define and validate technical roadmaps and standards and to evaluate and seek professional talent.

  • Developing Others - Supports the development of other’s skills and capabilities so that they can fulfill current or future job/role responsibilities more effectively.

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $127,088.00 to $281,923.00 annually.

Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $127,088.00 to $256,293.00 annually.

Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $153,776.00 to $281,923.00 annually.

New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $127,088.00 to $281,923.00 annually.

Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $127,088.00 to $281,923.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
