Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc Youth Workforce Specialist in Hillsboro, Ohio

Highland County Community Action Organization Inc. has full time opening for a Youth Workforce Specialist in the Ohio Means Jobs Highland County Office. This applicant will work under the OhioMeansJobs Highland County Manager. Successful applicant will identify barriers and provide intensive case management services to Highland County youth (ages 16-24) with employment skill building, education, training, work experience and other resources as needed. The Youth Workforce Specialist will complete assessments and Comprehensive Case Management Employment Program (CCEMP) requirements, develop a goal and career plan with participant, as well as reviewing, amending, and conferring career plan with management as needed. Successful applicant will also manage other special youth programs as required.

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, or minimum of Associate's degree in related field, and three (3) years previous experience in training, development, social services or career counseling. However a combination of education and/or professional experience may substitute if it can be demonstrated that it provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties required of this position. Knowledge of the local community, resources and businesses a plus.

Applicants must have compassion for youth and the desire to be a part of an agency that is making a difference in our county.  Applicant must have a valid Ohio Drivers License and be insurable under the agency fleet insurance policy and must be able to bend, stoop, and lift over 40 pounds.
