Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc Family and Community Engagement Manager in Hillsboro, Ohio

     HCCAO, Inc. a private non-profit corporation with an opening for Head Start/Early Head Start Family and Community Engagement Manager. This is a highly responsible administrative position responsible for all duties pertaining to the family, community and volunteer aspects of the Head Start/Early Head Start program.  Duties are performed under the direction of the Director of Early Childhood Programs.  Employee works 40 hours per week and 52 weeks per year. 

Some of the duties for this position include the following:

  • Responsible for overseeing family service workers input of information in the child tracking system
  • Organizes and plans activities for parent meetings and workshops to encourage full participation on the part of the parents
  • Responsible for the coordination of information and the establishment of collaborations among staff and community partners in order to improve the delivery of services to the Head Start/Early Head Start children and families  
  • Develops an active Policy Council and provides staff support to the Council
  • Provides trainings for staff and parents
  • Oversees the relationship building with Head Start/Early Head Start families, which includes the completion of Family Partnership Agreements
  • Develops activities to involve mothers, fathers, grandparents, and other important figures to the children in the program.

Applicant must have a Bachelor Degree, preferably related to the field of social work or other related study.  Applicant must have the ability to work well with children, parents, staff and volunteers.
