Frisch's Bar Ambassador at Frisch's in Hillsboro, Ohio

*Job Description *Our Bar Ambassadors are the owners of our guest's buffet experience and support the overall dining experience. This role is to make our guests feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of by consistently delivering and role modeling the 7 Secrets to Creating Compliments. The Ambassador helps ensure the guest feels part of the Frisch's Family -- creating a feeling of care and comfort -- simply a feeling of being at home. This experience will be a one-of-a-kind experience the guest can only get at their Frisch's.

Responsibilities

Cleans bar fixtures, utensils, food preparation surfaces, floors, doors, walls and storage areas according to sanitation guidelines. Prepares products per recipe as necessary. Practices safe food handling and sanitation practices. Unloads and rotates incoming shipments and neatly stocks items in the designated areas without damaging merchandise, while following approved procedures for dating, storing and rotating, when appropriate.

Greets every guest with a smile, as if inviting them in your own home. Provides exemplary guest service by consistently delivering and role modeling the 7 Secrets of Creating Compliments. Explains the new procedures and how the Ambassador will be serving the guest the food items and portions they would like. Demonstrates a passion for food quality and commitment to food safety standards by ensuring all food safety standards are adhered to and corrective action is taken as needed to include rotating product, checking and maintaining appropriate temperatures, etc. Takes pride in the bar presentation by monitoring ingredient levels and cleaning, filling, straightening, and rotating the product. Politely ensures that our guests do not practice self-service activities and maintains appropriate physical/social distances to include only one guest at the buffet/bar at a time. Communicates with management, back of the house and front of house team members to ensure service and quality goals are achieved.

Ensures cleaning and sanitizing activities are performed timely and appropriately, as this is everyone's responsibility. Conducts proper handwashing procedures and proper glove usage every 30 minutes or as needed. At the completion of their shift, cleans and sanitizes the hot bar and all its compartments as much as possible in preparation for closing. Disassembles and flattens all packing boxes, removes trash, sanitizes all surfaces and sweeps the floor. Cleans the oven, as necessary. Assists the Cleaning Captain, or Dining Room Ambassador, where needed or appropriate.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Education Needed

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, must be able to read, write and comprehend English
  • Passion for connecting with people; genuine in their enthusiasm to serve the guest; maintains an upbeat positive attitude, high level of tolerance and patience
  • Must be a 'team player' and be able to multi-task with strong attention to details
  • Accepts feedback from all levels to deliver on guest needs
  • Good memory, math and organizational skills
  • Food Safety Training
  • Experience with restaurant POS software platform

     

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Environment is interior of restaurant typically on carpeted and/or tile floors with changing surfaces (spills, grease, and debris)

Good hearing, visual and speaking skills

Ability to be on feet during entire shift

Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, stretch, reach, push, pull and regularly lift and carry up 30 pounds., and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds

Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
