Randstad is VERY excited to be collaborating with an awesome client in the Harrisburg, PA area as they seek to hire a Controller. This particular client has been a valued partner for many years. This position is open to the incumbent retiring. Our client is seeking a Controller who can manage a small team of accounting professionals (tenured group) and manage the overall financials of the company. salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for timely and accurate monthly financial close, financial statement preparation, and general ledger account reconciliations.

  • Provide timely and meaningful reporting to management regarding financial condition and performance versus established metrics.

  • Optimize company resources through sound forecasting and cash management.

  • File timely and accurate sales and franchise tax returns.

  • Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to prepare a timely and comprehensive annual budget package.

  • Partner with external auditors to provide needed information on a timely basis to ensure the efficient and timely completion of the annual audit.

  • Build meaningful relationships across the company and participate as a member of management of the company in most decisions involving financial and accounting policies.

  • Protect corporate assets, endowment, etc., by developing and implementing sound accounting policies and procedures.

  • Provide sound managerial decisions by producing financial information, analyzing it, and providing thoughtful interpretation to senior management.

  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

  • Assume direct responsibility for developing, implementing, and adhering to effective cost controls throughout the organization.

  • Develop and administer programs, policies, and procedures concerning risk management and loss prevention to ensure the most effective methods of protecting the assets of the company.
