ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Teach GRCC course offerings in Communication Studies: Fundamentals of Public Speaking. • Perform tasks normally expected of adjunct faculty members

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education Credentials

• Master's Degree in Communication Studies or a Master's degree in a closely related field and 18 graduate credit hours in Communication Studies required. (Mandated by the Higher Learning Commission) • Only candidates with a minimum of a Master's Degree in Communication Studies or a Master's degree in a closely related field and 18 graduate credit hours in Communication Studies can be considered.

Work Experience

• College level teaching experience preferred. • Teaching experience at a community college preferred, but not required.

Equipment Use/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to learn and use Blackboard, GRCC's Learning Management System. Training is provided. • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Some evening work (grading, preparing for class, responding to email questions) will be needed. • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
