Job Description Summary

This is a hands-on role to manage the installation, support and troubleshooting of computer systems that are integrated into manufacturing lines/equipment. The role requires the knowledge to assure technology is adequate for its intended application and conforms with corporate requirements for security. The person in this position provides direct support to production issues related to IT infrastructure. The role also has responsibility to support Corporate initiatives for manufacturing IT infrastructure and cybersecurity.

Job Description Summary

Responsibilities may include the support of the following:

  • Zebra printer and Label Vision inspection Systems; installation, set up and support of daily issues as they arise.

  • Label software upgrades and support (Bartender 2019/2021 and LVS 7510)

  • Barcode verifiers (packaging)

  • Local MFG Application Servers/Workstations (approximately 7 major systems)

  • Corporate IT initiatives and considerations on how it might affect the local site.

  • Cybersecurity standards

  • IBM DCS workflow (data collection system) for material transactions and timecards

  • Corp team initiatives and future planning for OT within MFG sites.

  • Upgrading obsolete PCs (Win 7, etc.) with newer systems and verifying/validating software.

Functions:

  • Develop and maintain a general knowledge of all Manufacturing Operational Technology (OT) systems and software that support manufacturing. ( PLC-HMI-Windows)

  • Develop and maintain a general knowledge of BD’s OT Cybersecurity standards.

  • Develop and implement solutions to OT challenges as they arise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OT Cybersecurity standards knowledge is a plus

  • 3 to 5 years experience preferred

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field or Associates degree in related field coupled with min 2 yrs experience.

Salary Range Information

$78,000.00 - $128,700.00
