Amphenol IPC Design Mechanical Engineer in Endwell, New York
Design Mechanical Engineer - As an Amphenol Industrial Operations (AIO) Mechanical Designer/Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing research and creating designs of a new product, improving the characteristics of existing products of the company, and determining different types of products that will be of use within an industry. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high technology, manufacturing environment and works well in a matrix structure across all levels of the organization.
<P> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
<LI> Works independently or with others to design and document components for Amphenol Industrial electrical connectors.
<LI> Learn Core product knowledge from Senior Design Engineer on site as well as product marketing team, with a focus on gaining the design intent of the Core Product components & assemblies.
<LI> Lays out components and prepares mechanical drawings using Solidworks/ePDM. Also will use Creo/ProE/Windchill.
<LI> Process skills in the use of GD&T
<LI> Develops bills of materials, documentation, and provides support for other departments
<LI> Responsible for development and accuracy of new release packages.
<LI> Create Engineering Change Notification (ECN)
<LI> May work with outside Engineering Services or suppliers with their daily work or to support other departments.
<LI> Design - Generates creative solutions. Translates concepts and information into images. Uses feedback to modify designs. Applies design principles. Demonstrates attention to detail.
