Key job responsibilities

  • Own, refine, and develop key areas of Wondery’s Advertising model

  • Work with the business team to build business models, pricing strategies, and value propositions and drive near-term and long-term forecasting

  • Collaborate with and present to the senior Wondery leadership team on a regular basis

  • Improve and automate financial reporting mechanisms, including Minimum Guarantees and related performance

  • Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations

  • Anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of negative variances

About the team

Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key business partner on the Amazon Music Finance team, supporting Wondery. This position will partner with Wondery's Head of Ad Revenue and COO to support Wondery's global Advertising business line. This position will play a key role in driving short and long-term financial forecasts, developing new analytical frameworks, and refining and improving existing reporting. You will be interacting with senior leadership across Wondery business teams as well as Amazon Music Finance on a daily basis.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
