Aerotek Forklift Operator in Cloverdale, California

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with occasional voluntary Saturdays. You will be responsible for operating forklifts in our outdoor yard, loading and unloading trucks with lumber, staging products for the lumber mill, and writing and reading tickets to ensure correct products are pulled. This position is labor-intensive and requires working in various weather conditions. Once you transition to a full-time employee, you will have the opportunity to get trained in more advanced operations. It is important to note that the working environment is primarily Spanish-speaking, and you must be comfortable with this.

Hard Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of consistent forklift operating experience

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Experience driving a forklift in rough terrain

  • Basic English reading and writing skills

  • Ability to purchase own steel-toed work boots

Soft Skills

  • Comfortable working in a primarily Spanish-speaking environment

  • Interest in long-term employment preferred

  • Bilingual skills are a plus

  • Prior experience in a mill or lumber yard is beneficial

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 720 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cloverdale, California.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working primarily in the warehouse and occasionally outside in the lumber yard. Note that you will need to purchase your own safety shoes for work. A $150 allowance for safety shoes will be provided upon becoming a full-time employee.
