Garden of Flavor Group LLC Procurement and Supply Chain Associate in Cleveland, Ohio

Job Summary The Procurement and Supply Chain Associate will assist in different aspects of procurement, vendor communication, and logistics. This is a task-oriented position working closely with other members of the operations team to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of any procurement or logistics issues.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

  • Assist in forecasting, ordering and receiving produce, ingredients, and materials.
  • Assist with communications with vendors.
  • Assist with upkeep of approved vendor list.
  • Update and maintain receiving logs.
  • Inspect produce & orders to insure meets specifications and document any discrepancies or damages.
  • Address and resolve issues with orders promptly.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly inventory counts.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, expiration dates, and shelf life.
  • Coordinate scheduling of trucks for timely deliveries and pickups.
  • Address any logistical issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Complete shipping paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Other duties as assigned

* Minimum Qualifications:*

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in procurement, inventory management, or related role.
  • Microsoft excel skills are a must: must be able to enter, organize, and manipulate data using formulas.

* Competencies, Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*

  • Education in supply chain management or related fields is advantageous.
  • Experience working with ERP systems a plus as transitioning to an ERP system
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized with impeccable time-management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of forecasting preferred

* Physical Demands and Work Environment*

  • Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of the position, the work environment:
    • Work in fluctuating temperature environments of refrigeration and non-refrigeration.
    • May be noisy due to juicing machines and other equipment.

* Position Type and Expected Hours of Work*

  • The workday will typically run from 7:30 AM -- 4:30 PM, with occasional variations in schedule time to be discussed during the interview process. Business operations are typically Monday-Friday.
