R10037828 Associate Director - Human Resources (Open) Location: Independence, OH - Rockside Woods Blvd - AMG-Corp How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Associate HR Director is responsible for acting as a strategic HR business partner for the BSC & Global functions, provides HR support for the North Division HR team, and oversight of the HR transactional process through our Human Resources Coordinators directly or in coordination with HR Operations. The Associate HR Director will provide sound HR leadership to the North Division's Business Support Center (BSC) & Global functions by identifying, creating and driving key people strategies with leaders to involve, empower and motivate employees. In addition, the Associate HR Director will be responsible for implementing, driving and maintaining sustainable HR programs, practices and initiatives which further enhance the capability of the organization to deliver the business's goals and objectives. Develops strong trusted partnerships with business leaders, acting as advisor and partner in the areas of organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, performance and development coaching & counseling. Leads the BSC career development, succession planning and talent management needs in partnership with business leadership, division, and Airgas Corporate Talent Management. Consults and advises management and employees on employee relations issues. Ensures awareness of and compliance with employment laws. Leads associate onboarding process, ensuring effective execution by managers; works closely with hiring managers and Talent Management with a focus on successfully assimilating, integrating and retaining associates. Administers salary actions in partnership with division and corporate compensation. Reviews and recommends fair and competitive wage structure and actions. Leads the annual salary review process for the BSC. Coordinates recommendations and activities with Compensation to ensure organizational consistency and provide feedback on employee satisfaction and market issues. Advises managers on performance management including appropriate corrective counseling, training and development, and progressive discipline techniques and processes. Reviews documentation to ensure consistency with Airgas policies, procedures, and guiding principles. Involves the Legal department or senior HR leadership at the appropriate time. Leads the performance appraisal process for the BSC. Administers all other HR policies and programs. Recommends and implements revisions to policies, programs and practices as needed. Ensures compliance with all state and federal statutes, laws and regulations including but not limited to all applicable wage and hour laws, and regulations related to FMLA, OSHA, EEO and ADA. Contributes actively to the development and implementation of overall HR strategy. Act as change agent in identifying opportunities to improve workforce and HR process effectiveness to enable business strategy and results. Understands and translates business strategy to deliver effective HR services. Leads HR Coordinator team to provide quality transactional support for full employee lifecycle including new hires, terminations, changes, background checks, random drug screen, etc. Ensures compliance with Airgas policies, practices and applicable state and federal requirements. Identifies, seeks stakeholder feedback and alignment, communicates, and deploys learning and development strategy and priorities within the NDIV. Serves as a liaison between the regions, division, and Corporate Airgas L&D team communicating any changes to the business and aligning and delivering L&D programs where appropriate. Actively partner with NDIV HRDs and the regional businesses to identify the organizational development needs of the existing and future workforce. As
