Description

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team, based in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. This role is integral to our construction industry operations, offering a long-term contract opportunity. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger and journal entries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain an accurate financial record.

• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close process.

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel to manage financial data.

• Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.

• Work collaboratively with the team to resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for internal use.

• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.

• Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Must possess a thorough understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Capable of handling and maintaining the General Ledger

• Able to prepare and manage Journal Entries

• Experience in performing Month End Close

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Foundations, QuickBooks, SAP

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
