The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has opening for a CAD Engineer to work in our Chesapeake, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the PEO IWS 5 program mission. In this mission, we provide support to the Navy’s AN/SQQ-89(V) program, to include the development of Installation Control Drawings (ICDs), As-Built drawings and issuance of LARs against approved Ship Installation Drawing packages.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

• Associates Degree, its equivalent or higher, and 3+ years of prior relevant experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD – 2D

• Experience utilizing Adobe Acrobat Pro for conversion of drawing products and deliverables

• Proficient with MS Office – full suite of products

• US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance upon hire.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:

• AAS / AS with an emphasis in Computer Aided Design

• Proficiency Experience with some or all of the following:

• Block Wiring Diagrams/ Design

• Electrical Diagrams / Design

• Piping Diagrams/ Design

• HVAC Diagrams/ Design

• Navy combat system Installation Control Drawings (ICDs)

• Navy Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs)

Responsibilities – Work you’ll do:

• Coordinate the Production and delivery of Installation Control Drawing Packages for the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 system

• Coordinate the Production and delivery of As-Built Drawing Packages for the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 system

• Coordinate the Development of Ship Installation Drawing LAR Packages for Naval Maritime Systems; using ANSI, ASME (Y14.5M), and/or NAVSEA (TS9090), standards and drafting requirements, and conducting Shipboard Validations as necessary to facilitate compliance with Naval technical standards.

• Guidethe CAD Teamin the implementation of Red Line changes on the customer database using AutoCAD and Adobe Pro.

• Work with QA Department to develop and implement Quantitative Metrics for all products

• Development of Drafting Standards and Practices, as well as Training Materials for the Drafting Department.

Clearance Required:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
