Job Posting: Loss Prevention and Safety Associate (LPA)

Job Summary:

The Loss Prevention and Safety Associate (LPA) plays a crucial role in safeguarding associates and assets, fostering a safety-first culture, and preventing accidents and theft within the facility. The LPA is responsible for enforcing safety protocols, conducting security audits, and mitigating shrink through proactive measures.

1st, 2nd & 3rd shift available.

Payrate: $18.00/hr. plus shift differential

Location: Onsite - Carlisle, PA

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain safe environments by conducting screenings for all individuals entering the premises (associates, visitors, contractors, vendors).

  • Administer access control and visitor management processes according to LP standard operating procedures (SOP).

  • Oversee Guard Shack operations, including trailer check-in/out, to ensure the security of merchandise.

  • Monitor and maintain physical security of the entire site, including the trailer yard, building perimeters, and parking lots.

  • Conduct security audits, identify deficiencies, and communicate security concerns effectively.

  • Report investigative leads from audits and direct observations.

  • Assist in resolving matters related to associate theft, workplace violence, and other incidents.

  • Collaborate with DC departments to address security and safety violations.

  • Communicate incidents and investigations promptly to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Promote a team-oriented environment to resolve conflict situations effectively.

  • Respond to emergency situations as per the Emergency Preparedness Manual.

  • Interface with emergency response authorities (police, fire) during crises.

  • Assist LP Senior Agents/Supervisors in incident communication and follow-up.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.

  • Complete and maintain certifications in CPR, First-Aid, AED, Golf/Medical Cart, and Ladder safety.

  • Proficiency in access control systems, CCTV, and two-way radio communication.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Loss Prevention SOP manual and OSHA 1910 Guidelines.

  • Strong command of English (oral and written).

  • Interpersonal skills to diffuse and resolve conflict situations effectively.

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, RDM, Smartsheets, etc.

  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule based on business needs.

  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments efficiently.

  • Exceptional customer service skills for positive interactions with various stakeholders.

  • Completion of LP Agent new hire checklist/training packet within 90 days of employment.

Physical Requirements/ADA:

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment on a concrete floor for extended periods.

  • Continuous standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling.

  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, talking, handling objects, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Vision requirements include the ability to read printed and electronic information.

  • Adherence to routine deadlines with predictable work volume and occasional travel or other demands.

  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
