DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Environmental Education Intern, you will gain experience in working with ages 4 to adult in the center's education and recreational programming. You will engage with the visiting public to provide customer service to ensure a memorable visit.  Additionally, you will also assist in planning and instructing summer day cam programs, care for butterflies in the butterfly house, and work with environmental education staff with recreational, interpretive, historical, and environmental programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time internship between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors: Environmental Education Education Environmental Studies An approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable. Freshman year completed. Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.
