Our work depends on a Cloud Program Manager (PM) joining our team to support one of our Federal customers in the DC Metropolitan area.

As a PM supporting GDIT’s Federal Health sector, you will be trusted to manage cloud contracts supporting multiple customers in multi-cloud environments with architects, engineers, application developers, operations staff, and other support personnel. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Acting as prime technical / managerial POC for all Customer interface and communication on Program and responsible for overall Customer satisfaction.

  • Possess a deep understanding IT support in health research environments with the experience to address Customer's existing and future needs.

  • Directs BPA call order activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems, as needed.

  • Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation.

  • Performs program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement.

  • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, and other program documents.

  • Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.

  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact providing management and oversight to a team of project managers and technical leads responsible for the management and execution of all BPA call orders.

  • Encourages BPA usage within entities capable of using the BPA for acquisitions.

  • May serve as Project Manager on one or more BPA call in addition to BPA program management functions

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. in IT, computer science or related field plus 15 years of experience in the IT field

  • At least 8 years of experience managing large IT Operations contracts and at least 5 years in a cloud environment.

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.

  • Experience supporting complex IT projects in health research environments.

  • Must have experience managing projects and teams in multiple cloud environments.

  • Should have knowledge of industry best practices such as ITIL and CMMI.

  • Must have experience in project management, budget, and forecasting toolsets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in IT, computer science or related fields and 12 years of experience in the IT field.

  • Program Management experience for Blanket Purchase Agreement IT contracts.

  • Multi-cloud (e.g., Google, AWS, Azure) operations and maintenance experience

  • Experience standing up an organization with multifaceted teams.

  • Certifications in both AWS and Azure.

  • HHS Experience

The likely salary range for this position is $187,000 - $253,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
