Who We Are

The Kidney Epidemiology and Cost Center (KECC) carries out research in epidemiology, public policy, economics, outcomes research relating to End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), chronic kidney disease, and organ transplantation ( http://www.kecc.sph.umich.edu ). KECC maintains a comprehensive historical database of over 3 million ESRD patients drawn primarily from Medicare data.

Responsibilities*

  • Management of multiple projects, including monitoring requests and responses to ensure they are met on the appropriate timelines.

  • Ensuring that the appropriate resources are allocated to complete deliverables in accordance with the contract specifications.

  • Serving as the main contact for the project.

  • Representing KECC in meetings with Government Task Leaders.

  • Coordinating with various other contractors to ensure satisfactory completion of deliverables and integration into other tracking systems.

  • Manage internal work flow for contract teams, including organizing workgroup meetings, tracking the progress of each workgroup, ensuring that meeting time is used effectively to address outstanding issues.

  • Coordinate responses to comments/questions raised during process.

  • Drafting reports.

  • Assist in the dissemination and tracking of a qualitative survey for dialysis patients.

Required Qualifications*

  • A Bachelors degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role requiring timeliness, organization, prioritization, multi-tasking, confidentiality, and troubleshooting to successfully achieve results.

  • Experience managing the participation and input of diverse stakeholders as part of a project or other initiative including effective problem solving and group dynamic skills.

  • Ability to organize and schedule people or tasks, including developing realistic action plans that are sensitive to the availability of resources and time constraints.

  • Effective written and oral presenter of concepts, findings, and data.

  • Experience in quality and performance improvement.

  • Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Excel and Word) and experience using teleconferencing apps.

  • Assist in the dissemination and tracking of a qualitative survey for dialysis patients.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures and familiarity with program planning; as well as basic operations policies.

  • Customer service experience working with diverse populations.

  • Interest in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to proactively define responsibilities based on evolving needs.

Work Locations

This position may be eligible for remote and/or flexible work opportunities at the discretion of the hiring department. Flexible work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change dependent on the business needs of the hiring department, throughout the course of employment.
