About the Opportunity This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FEU]. This candidate will report to the General Manager of Substation Services in the Transmission and Substations Services group located in Akron, Ohio. The position is Hybrid with the occasional need to report to the building. Responsibilities include: Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety Assisting in compliance reporting, tracking and necessary paperwork Producing a variety of correspondence, reports and presentations using the appropriate office equipment and software Demonstrating sound internal and / or external customer service Resolving customer issues and requests in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner Building relationships and credibility across organization Supporting the department's administrative needs which may include: Tracking and Reporting on the status of various Safety, Compliance and other department trainings Ordering materials and supplies for the department Purchase Request creation, tracking and maintenance Invoice processing Filing (Electronic and hard copy) Maintaining of appointment calendars, meeting scheduling, travel arrangements, Ability to handle confidential information Provide storm and meeting support by coordinating conference rooms and meals when required. Other assigned tasks as needed. Qualifications include: High school diploma or GED required Minimum 4 years work experience required with administrative background required Must pass the Company's EEI Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) test Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in SAP and SharePoint preferred. Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships Ability to follow established practices, procedures, and instructions, and produce basic administrative work products in a thorough, timely and accurate manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, helpful) Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work load Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity At FirstEnergy, employees are key to our success.
