  Job Summary

• Under indirect medical supervision, the individual will be required to provide services to patients in all areas of the inpatient and outpatient settings and in all age groups from neonatal to geriatric.

• The cardiovascular tech is an individual who is experienced in diagnostic techniques with the knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, and physiology in adult aged patients.

• The technologist works under the indirect supervision of the Medical Director for Cardiopulmonary Services or other Special Care areas and carries out assigned duties and responsibilities according to the policies and procedures approved by the Medical Director. This individual is expected to possess advanced knowledge and skills in the following areas:

• Echocardiography Adult and Pediatrics

• Transesophageal Echocardiography

• Stress Echocardiography

• Contrast Echocardiography

• Stress Tests

• ECG's

• Holter Monitors

• Zio Patches

  Education and/or Experience

• The individual must be a graduate of an accredited school in the allied health field.

• Must be familiar with the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, comprehension of the ECG and hemodynamic system is required.

• Registered as a Diagnostic Sonographer, and/or Registered Echocardiography Technologist with an accrediting body such as the ARRT or ARDMS or must be able to obtain within two years.

• Experience in the field preferred. However, New Grads are welcome to apply.

  Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

  Work Schedule

• Day Shift: Occasional weekend/holiday/call; As needed.

  Pay

  The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.

• $27.00 - $40.50 per hour
